Lublin University of Technology (LUT) is a public university holding an Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE). The university was established under Resolution No. 341 of the Council of Ministers of the Polish People’s Republic of May 13, 1953. The institution has legal personality. LUT offers full-time and part-time studies, post-graduate studies, training courses, as well as a doctoral school. The university has a library and information system. It also has inter-faculty units conducting teaching activities, including the Department of Foreign Languages and the Centre of Physical Education and Sport. The organizational potential of Lublin University of Technology rests upon a stable and well-established scientific research and teaching base in the discipline of Mechanical Engineering. LUT fosters the development of student scientific movements. The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of LUT is headed by the dean, who is responsible for preparation of study programs and study plans, implementation of the course of study, commissioning classes, introducing modifications in the organizational structure of the faculty, etc. The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering has 12 departments, each of them conducting teaching, scientific, research, and scientific-research activities. New technological and programming specializations are continuously developed. The university has a large stock of CNC machines. The teaching staff involved in the project has extensive knowledge of construction, materials and technology in different fields of engineering (machining, metal forming, polymer processing, as well as in the area of technological machines, automation, control, programming, and mechanics). The faculty staff involved in the project cooperate closely with businesses and industry. The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the LUT holds the prestigious A+ category awarded by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education under comprehensive evaluation of scientific units.

NTNU-Norwegian University of Science and Technology is one of Norway’s six most important and largest universities. It has over 5000 employees in academic positions, of whom over 42% are women and 35% are international. The university focuses on applied research for the public and private sectors. It has over 100 laboratories and advanced research infrastructure. NTNU has a main profile in science and technology, and is Norway’s leading engineering university. It has 9 faculties, one of the leading being the Faculty of Engineering with its 8 departments. The Department of Manufacturing and Civil Engineering cooperates closely with regional and national industrial and business clusters. The main areas of this cooperation include: development of the Industry 4.0 idea, process monitoring, machine learning, artificial intelligencemethods, imaging, sustainable manufacturing, production system modelling, optimization and computer technologies used in cyber-physical production systems, wireless industrial communication, parts design, engineering quality and measurement systems. Another partner in the project is the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, which has broad interdisciplinary experience in the fields of logistics, machine design, product development, materials science as well as risk and reliability of complex systems, optimization and improvement of industrial processes and production systems. The features of the university and of the afore-mentioned departments match perfectly the concept of the proposed project. The university’s representative engaged in the project will be Yiliu Liu, Associate Professor in RAMS Engineering, from the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering. Professor Liu is very active in international collaborations and has been engaged in several international collaboration projects with Japan, South Korea, China, Vietnam, Israel and Algeria, as well as France, Brazil, Italy, Tanzania, Australia and USA.

CEWAR Więch Limited Partnership began to operate in the early 1990s as a trade and service company supplying high quality products and modern technological solutions for the industry. In the following years, the company expanded its activity, enlisting cooperation with leading global producers. In 2012 the company started its own production activity, simultaneously expanding its technical, engineering and construction staff, as well as purchasing new machinery. The company’s production plant is located in the Special Economic Zone in Lublin and covers an area of over 3000 sq m. It offers comprehensive CNC machining services, from the design process to the finished product. The company has its own stock of modern machinery (Hermle, Okuma, Doosan, Hwacheon). To ensure high quality, the entire production is controlled with, among others, Aberlink’s coordinate measuring machine. The CEWAR brand has won trust and recognition from industries such as aviation, medical and petrochemical. The company produces, among others, aviation parts, parts for pharmaceutical machines and drilling rigs for leading European and global manufacturers. Currently, the company’s export sales to, among others, England, Belgium, UAE, and USA constitute a significant part of its total output. The company’s staff directly engaged in the implementation of the project will include: Mr. Michał Wawerk who has extensive experience in production along with considerable expertise in construction, technology and metrology; Mr. Mariusz Mika will contribute to the project with his experience and expertise in the area of tooling; Mr. Paweł Ku´smiderski will contribute with his expertise in maintenance, and also has teaching experience; and Mr. Stanisław Wiech will contribute with his expertise in production and CNC machine programming.

P.H.M. POLCOMM Dariusz Kozak is a Polish manufacturer of cutting tools. The company provides innovative and proven tool solutions for both large and small companies. P.H.M. POLCOMM Dariusz Kozak is distinguished by an individual approach to its customers and a high degree of flexibility in cooperation. The company has been carefully building the its know-how in cutting tools for 20 years. Apart from many years of experience, this company has modern infrastructure and machinery. As a result, the tools produced by this company are used in leading branches of the machine and woodworking industries, and are highly recognized by industry specialists. The company’s staff directly engaged in the implementation of the project will include: Mr. Dariusz Kozak who will contribute to the project with his vast managerial experience, work organizational as well as human resource management skills. In the project, Mr. Dariusz Kozak will be responsible for the organization of pilot training courses in the company; Mr. Rafał Karski will contribute to the project with his expertise in construction, technology and metrology. His input to the project will be preparation of training courses, internships and meetings in the company; Ms. Ewa Kozak will be responsible for the purchase and distribution of tools; Mr. Arkadiusz Grabowski will be responsible for tool design and training in this area, and will also contribute to the project with his construction and teaching experience.
